How long will it take for my order to ship?

Due to the nature of 3D printing, it can be hard to predict how long orders will take. This is because we have a limited number of printers. So if a lot of people place orders, it will take longer to get the more recent orders out. A large toilet takes roughly a week to print. Keep adding toilets to the order list and the amount of time just keeps increasing. As a baseline, we say that it will take 2-5 weeks after a new order is placed for it to ship in the United States. This is if we don’t have a backlog of orders so actual shipping time may vary. We are always adding new printers to our workshop to cut down on wait time. We appreciate your patience!

What size should I get?

Size is very important when it comes to determining what the flush will be like. A 2in model most likely won’t have functional rim jets. A 3in model will probably have rim jets that do function but require the pressure of a faucet directly in the water inlet. A 4in model will require a bit less pressure for a full flush. A 5in model will usually flush under its own power with a tank installed, if it’s designed to work with a tank. So choosing which size to get depends entirely on what you want to do with the mini toilet. 2in is mainly just for show. 3in and 4in do offer a flushing experience but lack the ability to work with a normal sized tank most of the time. For the full mini toilet experience a 5in model is usually required.

How is scale determined?

We are proud to offer our miniatures in many sizes! Figuring out the exact scale for your particular order is quite simple. For a floor mounted toilet, the scale is simply a measurement from the floor to the top of the rim. The total height of a 5in model toilet bowl is 5in (This is 1/3 the height of a normal 15in toilet bowl and therefore 1/3 scale). On wall mounted toilets and urinals, the size is not a measurement of height but a scale comparison to a floor mounted toilet bowl. So a 5in floor mounted toilet is the same scale as a 5in wall mounted toilet or urinal. This simply means that if you ordered a bathroom set with one 5in version of each, a floor mounted toilet, wall mounted toilet, and a urinal, they would all fit in together at the correct scale. Even though a 5in urinal may be physically smaller than a 5in toilet, they are both 1/3 the size of their real world counterparts.

How do I flush my mini toilet?

All models are designed to function exactly like their full sized counterparts. All functional miniatures have an inlet hole on the top or back that water goes into to cause the flush. Some models are based on commercial toilets and therefore require more pressure to flush just like the real ones. In order to achieve this higher pressure it is often necessary to use a small hose that fits snugly into the inlet hole. These hoses are available in stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, and many more. They are also available online. In order to buy the correct hose, you need to measure the exact diameter of the inlet hole and get a hose as close to that size as possible. We hope to offer bundles with these hoses in the future but for now, we do not sell them.

How do I keep my mini toilet clean?

We recommend you not use any chemicals of any kind, Do not use any hard dye or food coloring, Do not use clay on the model, Make sure your mini toilet is kept in a safe environment away from any extreme hot/cold temperatures. Rule of thumb is if it may stain a white article of clothing it may very well stain your mini 3D printed toilet.

How can I permanently keep my mini toilet clean?

If you are looking to keep your miniature 3D printed toilet permanently clean you can use any type of waterproof spray-paint of your choice. For better paint adhesion we recommend you lightly sand down your model before applying paint. It is crucial you use proper respiratory protection at all times when sanding or painting.
